Fixed term contract for 22 months/Internal Secondment for 24 months

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new, small and developing team at the heart of the organisation, helping enable critical governance processes and undertaking research to support the creation of organisational strategy. This role will provide insight into most areas of Thames Valley Police service delivery, with particular focus on risk, business continuity, policy, inspection processes and proposals for new business initiatives. You will also support, through research, the production of strategic analysis, considering the challenges of the future.

Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, you will have a high standard of IT skills with particular experience in Excel spreadsheets, managing databases, accuracy in inputting data, whilst having the commitment to learn, develop and implement new systems. The ability to undertake research including the collection, collation and presentation of information in a concise and accurate format is essential. You will have an excellent standard of written and oral communication and be able to effectively communicate across all levels within the organisation. A logical approach is required with the ability to innovate and work with minimum supervision, whilst getting the most benefit from the innovative application of existing and new IT software.
