Are you a tenacious ICT Commercial Manager who is ready to face a new and exciting challenge?

In this Greenfield role, you will be a member of the Extended Leadership Team with autonomy and responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving the ICT Commercial Strategy for Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary.

Your focus will be to drive change and achieve commercial excellence in how IT services are brought in moving forward. Your main deliverable will be to ensure a strategic yet commercial approach to all ICT contracts, suppliers and costs, ultimately to deliver savings and provide cost effective and quality services to the organisation. This roles reports into the Head of ICT Strategy & Governance and manages a team of 5 direct reports.


Essentials:

• You will establish a comprehensive understanding of current and future commercial needs for ICT, working with key stakeholders to design, plan and implement commercial strategies.

• Extensive experience in establishment, negotiation and monitoring of large and complex ICT contracts including documentation, tendering, performance monitoring, maintenance of evaluation frameworks and administration of contracts.

• Knowledgeable across the ICT environment with experience gained in working with standard ICT functions: i.e. Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Development, Portfolio, Governance (PRINCE2, ITIL, TOGAF etc.)

• Hands on experience in financial management and financial monitoring reporting, with the ability to establish new processes.

• Qualified/part qualified accountant or an equivalent qualification with demonstrable experience of commercial and financial management roles within an IT Environment. 

• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role due to travelling to different locations across the organisation and undertaking assignments in a timely manner.
