Business Change Project Manager - Business Change (SEROCU)
Are you looking for an opportunity to join a highly-motivated team that prides itself on providing a great service, shaping and delivering crucial change and real value to the business?
With a mission to protect and safeguard local communities from serious and organised crime, the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) is a Police unit responsible for delivering specialist and niche capabilities to Thames Valley Police, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, Surrey Police and Sussex Police.
We are recruiting for a Business Change Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and lead the delivery of essential projects and related business change activities at force, bi-lateral and regional level. You will design, plan and co-ordinate all aspects of the project to ensure the effective delivery of project deliverables, leading and directing the work of project teams.
As a Project Manager, you'll bring drive and expertise to the role and will take pride in seeing the business-wide outcomes of your work. You will proactively manage engagement with stakeholders and those impacted by the change, working in collaboration with key enablers. You will be accountable to the programme manager and project sponsors for high standards of project governance and delivery. You will effectively manage risk and issues within the project, initiating corrective action as appropriate and escalating matters to a programme level, when necessary.
You will have recent and relevant experience in business change project management with proven evidence of starting up a project and successfully delivering and embedding change. We are looking for candidate with strong stakeholder engagement and good communication/influencing skills. You must hold a PRINCE2 practitioner (or equivalent) qualification.
This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. Therefore, you will require a full UK driving licence and be expected to drive force vehicles.
You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours, in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC. In order to achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
You can find more information about security vetting here.
