We welcome applications from Detective Constables to join our Investigations Team, part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU). You will undertake SEROCU investigations in pursuit of the disruption of Organised Crime Groups operating within the South East.

You will be involved primarily with the investigation of serious and complex organised and cross-border crime. As part of the investigative team, you will investigate SE ROCU operations involving the use of intelligence, reactive and proactive policing tactics, including search and arrest operations. You will prepare prosecution files in respect of offenders arrested by SEROCU, managing the criminal justice process through to court.

You will have a sound background in covert investigations and practical experience undertaking covert and overt investigations. You must have completed a CID foundation course or successfully completed the ICIDP.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to enhanced level.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.
