In this role you will manage and monitor persons in the community who are subject to requirements of the Sexual Offences Act (2003) and Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) and ensuring that all aspects of the Act are adhered to. You will undertake home visits and establish strong links with partner agencies along with other forces both regionally and nationally. In addition you will undertake risk assessments; risk management plans and make applications for civil orders under the Act. 

You will have recent and relevant experience of managing risk along with the ability to robustly manage difficult and challenging characters. You will also have excellent communication and problem solving skills to deal professionally and assertively with offenders and also be able to communicate and work with partner agencies. It is essential that you have recent experience of completing risk assessments and risk management plans. 

You need to demonstrate a good knowledge of computer skills in order to be able to install monitoring software on devices as ordered by the court. 

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and deal with a high volume of workload. This will often be under tight time constraints.  

Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is essential.    

Along with all other posts in the Force CID, Intelligence and Specialist Operations departments this role will require an enhanced level of vetting. 

Due to the unpleasant nature of the work at times, the successful candidate will be required to complete psychological screening.
