The Thames Valley Local Resilience Forum (TVLRF) Manager post is a newly created position within Thames Valley Police. The TVLRF helps prepare for, respond to and recover from emergency incidents affecting homes, businesses and the environment. You would be working across local authorities within the Thames Valley, other blue light services and businesses within the voluntary and private sector. A key part of the role is managing the risks as set out by the community risk register for which the Local Resilience Forum is responsible for managing.

In this role you will manage the TVLRF strategic objectives and will be responsible for ensuring that the various Local Resilience Forum delivery groups are held to account. You will have excellent project management skills along with in depth knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and other relevant legislation. You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills and will need to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, balance conflicting aims and working with multiple agencies. In this role you will carry out annual reviews of the TVLRF structure along with the working practices and keep the delivery plan under review. The role will be initially based at HQ South, Kidlington however the successful candidate will be required to be mobile, working and travelling across the Thames Valley and other Forces supporting delivery of the LRF objectives.
