In this interesting role you will manage a team of specialists in the functions of Digital Forensics in the High Tech Crime Unit (HTCU). You will ensure that the operational and strategic requirements of the Unit are met along with compliance to ISO17025 Quality Standards and the requirements of the Forensic Science Regulators codes of practice and conduct.  

Key duties will include: 

  • The day to day management of the HTCU in partnership with the Technical HTCU Supervisor
  • A significant involvement in the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 17025 Quality Standards in HTCU
  • Active engagement with other supervisors / managers / partners in the delivery of project work and supporting change
  • Development of operational strategies  

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on 11th and 12th February. There will be a short exercise and/or presentation prior to interview. 

Along with all other posts in Force Crime, Intelligence and Specialist Operations Departments, this role will require an enhanced level of vetting.  

Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
