In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day overt active management of identified nominals within the region, in partnership with others.  This means that you will ensure inter-departmental liaison and the management of tasking.  You will also be responsible for ensuring the efficient use of resources, in order to provide an effective service regionally and, where applicable, nationally.

To be successful in this role you will have a comprehensive police intelligence and / or investigative background (PIP 2 accredited is desirable).  You will also need to have some experience of managing sensitive and confidential information, with experience of managing risk. We also seek someone with excellent communication skills, who can work in partnership to creatively problem solve.

Role funding is in place until Autumn 2024 and would strive for timely release dates, there is potential extension to funding. Upon funding conclusion, officers will be supported in identifying alternative opportunities in line with regional and force policies and procedures.

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary for the successful candidate to obtain and maintain vetting level DV.  In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
