In these new and exciting roles, you will provide a comprehensive technical understanding of a core shared system and facilitate its ongoing maintenance and development through quality interactions across the forces. You will support the Product Manager in delivering the product roadmap, including key system integrations and automations, whilst fostering an environment where compliance and data integrity are always top priorities. The role has overall responsibility for the technical configuration requirements of the system.

Our Tech Leads will be assigned to one of our core shared system teams:

  • Niche Records Management system – our primary information database, used to record crimes and essential information around public safety, and manage our investigations
  • Contact Management Platform – our bespoke Command & Control system used to record contact from members of the public and manage the deployment of our officers and staff in response
  • Pronto – our digital “pocket notebook” application which enables our officers and staff to complete more of their work outside of a police station, in our communities

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong technical background with understanding of system configuration approaches and architecture
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to translate technical language into user-friendly concepts
  • Great relationship building skills, able to work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous involvement in digital or technical innovation and the desire to maintain industry awareness and knowledge
