We live in the most challenging of times, where the responses to protect our communities is becoming ever more complex for the Police. From emerging technologies such as drones, self-driving vehicles, facial recognition, etc. the Police are constantly adapting to address new and established forms or crime and this requires having modern systems that provide round the clock support and services to the public and Police.

The Role 

Contributing and developing the Information Assurance framework that will apply National and Local standards to maximise the opportunities available and minimise risk exposure to acceptable levels. 

Interfacing with a range of specialist officers, technician, architects, leaders and external parties you will be a confident communicator for both technical and non-technical specialists with the ability to propose pragmatic solutions that support the Police in providing safer communities.

 

The Essentials 

  • Professional qualifications in a demonstrably relevant discipline.
  • Experience of working with technical and non-technical experts in an IT environment.
  • Ability to assess information risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate responses.
  • Experience in the preparation of professional documentation, analysis and diagrams.
  • Demonstrate proactivity, resilience and tenacity in previous roles.

 

This role could be carried out remotely, with the occasional requirement for travel to Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police offices. 

TVP as an employer, contribute 13.5% of pensionable pay into a member’s pension pot. You will be entitled to up 24 days of annual leave per annum (pro rata for part time), plus Bank Holidays.
