In this exciting opportunity within the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) you will deliver strategic and tactical management of a multi-agency problem solving approach within the South East region to disrupt organised criminality, as part of the Government Agency Intelligence Network (GAIN) structure and processes. Key responsibilities include:

Maximise enforcement and disruption opportunities against organised criminality and regional control strategy priorities. Proactively identify opportunities and co-ordinate the response by police, partners and other law enforcement agencies to threat, harm and risk.

Create an environment within which government agencies can lawfully, safely and confidently share intelligence safely and confidently in the pursuit of tackling organised crime.

Brief and de-brief multi-agency days of action to ensure Partner agency attendance, their safety in exercising their role, and that evidence is appropriately obtained and retained, and that intelligence is recorded.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent communication skills both orally and written, to a range of audiences, including senior managers and Chief Officers, and the ability to negotiate and influence others, overcoming barriers and initiating change. You will have proven, significant experience working at a strategic level, preferably in a multi-agency or law enforcement capacity. With proven practical experience of managing law enforcement projects, working collaboratively, you will be innovative to maximise enforcement and disruption opportunities.

You will have capability to travel, sometimes at short notice, to different locations across the region, and a full UK driving license. Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced level of vetting.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
