This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Thames Valley Police in one of our most senior and influential roles, reporting directly to the Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police.

As our Assistant Chief Officer - Director of People, you will drive the vision, leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of human resource management and learning & development for Thames Valley Police to enable transformational change, improvements in quality, efficiency and organisational effectiveness.  You will be a key member of the Chief Officer Group, contributing to the overall strategic leadership of the force, providing executive level responsibility and accountability for risk based decision making across multi-discipline and complex business areas where there may be conflicting priorities or ambiguity.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about people service delivery, can develop and implement people strategies, which build an inclusive, skilled workforce, working closely with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and developing others, ensuring that our Public, as well as internal Staff and Officers, benefit from the full range of opportunities presented by people services.
