As a Holmes Indexer with CTPSE you will be working as part of the Investigations Team within the Major Incident Room (MIR) who are responsible for the investigation and prosecution of those suspected of committing offences under Terrorism legislation.

The Holmes Indexer is responsible for updating the Holmes database and receives instruction from the Holmes Reader/Receivers and the MIR Office Manager.

Current Version 16 Holmes indexing experience is required but applicants who can demonstrate attention to detail, who are confident to challenge and offer alternative suggestions will be considered. Successful applicants who are not Holmes trained will be expected to attend a Holmes Course which may be out of the Force area.

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC.  In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
