An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual to join the Digital Development Unit (DDU), part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) hosted by Thames Valley Police on behalf of the region.

The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) are currently setting up a new and exciting digital capability, which will enhance existing capabilities and services delivered in the South East Region by the SEROCU. The capability will seek to identify new opportunities to use digital technologies to assist investigations and research new techniques for covert recovery of information from devices and networks.

The unit will seek to develop methods to enhance existing digital capability and provide tactical advice and operational assistance to support the deployment of digital techniques. They will also provide support to assist in the collation and analysis of information from both overt and covert sources.

You will provide technical digital advice and expertise for ROCU capabilities, working with, operations, intelligence development and investigations. You will support, review and advise officers and staff of intelligence and evidential opportunities maximising conventional, proactive, overt/covert and emerging digital technical tactics.

You will have experience and core skills in network investigation, core skills in digital investigation. You will also have previous IT industry experience working with computers (hardware/software/networks) and excellent communication skills.

You may be required to travel for business purposes on occasion and demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours. You must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced level.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
