The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) services the South East region. Our mission is to provide a high quality police service targeting serious and organised crime. Our goal is to successfully target those organised criminals causing significant harm in the South East and establish a reputation as a highly professional unit.

SEROCU are looking for a suitable individual with the appropriate skills to work alongside the National Crime Agency in London (Vauxhall) as an intelligence Confidential Case Supervisor, as part of the SEROCU Confidential Unit. You will supervise a team of Confidential Case Officers to gather, develop and disseminate intelligence in support of regional and national crime investigations against serious and organised crime targets.

You will Lead and manage a team of specialist Confidential Case intelligence officers, managing and prioritising workload allocation, staffing resilience and cover. You will interact with key Intelligence Managers within the SEROCU Regional Intelligence Bureau to discuss capability and capacity for intelligence activity, assist in the assessment of operational requirements and submit bids for support from the team. You will provide specialist support to major investigations and be responsible for responding to time critical sensitive information, including deciding upon an appropriate course of action.

You may be required to travel for business purposes on occasion and demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours. Our Confidential Care Supervisors work on a shift pattern Monday to Friday, alternating earlies one week and lates the second week. There is also a requirement for weekend working, currently one in every four. You must be prepared to be security cleared to enhanced level.

This roles attracts London Weighting allowance and 14% shift allowance. Travel season tickets & parking are provided*.  The post will be a permanent posting not secondment.

*please note that travel and parking allowances will be declared to HMRC as a taxable benefit.

The selection process will include:-

     Stage 1 – Candidates with suitable evidence will be required to attend the NCA Vauxhall for one day to gain an understanding of the role as well as pass a suitability assessment;

·     Stage 2 – Successful candidates will then be invited to attend an interview and, if successful, provided with a provisional offer subject to attending and passing the Confidential Case Supervisors enhanced course run by the NCA.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
