For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or acquire appropriate security clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals.

Applications are invited for the post of HOLMES office manager within the investigations team of the South East Counter Terrorism Unit. You will ensure effective running of the CT Major Incident Room (MIR), supporting the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), providing supervision for all aspects of the CT HOLMES computer system and staff employed within the MIR, and providing HOLMES support to SE CTU and regional forces in the administration of major investigations relating to CT and allied matters.

The post holder will comply with the standards outlined in the Major Incident Room Standardised Administrative Procedures (MIRSAP). You will supervise all aspects of the HOLMES system and HOLMES personnel in incident rooms including setting and improving standards through the PDR process to achieve the SE CTU/MC priorities and objectives.

The successful applicant will have previous experience as a detective or as a supervisor/manager within an MIR environment and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills. You will have the ability to deliver presentations, attend and engage in briefings and meetings within a police and partnership environment.

You may be required to travel for business purposes on occasion and demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours and you must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced level.
