In this interesting role you will prepare, research and action the agenda for the MAPPA (Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangement) meetings in accordance with national guidance whilst maintaining the national ViSOR database of sex and violent offenders. You will also establish strong links with partner agencies along with other forces both regionally and nationally

It is essential that you have a good standard of education including excellent numeracy and literacy skills along with recent and relevant experience of minute taking. You will also be IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office along with a willingness to learn other packages. A knowledge of Dictaphones and accompanying software would be an advantage.

You must have the capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is desirable.

Along with all other posts in the Force CID, Intelligence and Specialist Operations departments this role will require an enhanced level of vetting.

Due to the unpleasant nature of the work at times, the successful candidate will be required to complete psychological screening.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
