In this interesting role you will assist police officers in the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents, and prepare case papers, ensuring file completeness and delivery in accordance with court deadlines, legislation and force policy. You will relieve front line operational police officers of administrative tasks involved with investigations including taking statements of evidence from victims of crime and witnesses along with interviewing suspects in custody.

You will have proven experience of working within an investigatory type role, with a working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures. You will also have proven customer service skills, engaging with people at all levels, sometimes in potentially confrontational situations along with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to gather and record information in a logical format. You will be required to travel to different locations in a timely manner and for this reason a full driving licence is considered essential.
