We welcome applications for the role of Regional Lead People Advisor for two specialist units that work across five force areas to protect communities from the threats of serious organised crime and terrorism.

In this role you will lead, develop and manage a team across a broad generalist portfolio.  This includes recruitment, resourcing, employee relations, diversity and wellbeing, across a five force collaboration. Working with colleagues, you will support and develop solutions, driving the people strategy and enabling continuous improvement.

To help manage the demands of this busy role, the ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 7 qualified or working towards this, with a good level of generalist HR experience across a range of diverse, complex and sensitive matters. We are looking for a candidate who has experience of coaching and advising line managers and staff, preferably with experience of line management,

We are committed to becoming the most diverse team in the South East. We encourage interest and applications from candidates of all backgrounds.

We support and encourage flexible and agile working, however the demands are such that this is a full time role and you will need to frequently attend the office.  This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may occasionally be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to SC Enhanced level.

Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals.  This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy when we are in receipt of sufficient applications. Should you wish to apply for this post we advise you to complete and submit your application form as soon as possible.
