Near M4, Junction 12 (Rural)
TVP Broad Band 2E

Full Time
Permanent/Fixed Term Contract

We are looking to recruit two Regional People Supports (one permanently and one fixed term contract/secondment for 18 months) to become part of an HR team working to support two specialist regional units that protect communities from the threats of serious organised crime and terrorism.  This administrative role provides support to the recruitment life cycle in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will need to have strong administrative experience (ideally in recruitment), possess excellent communication skills and be well organised in their approach.

They will be the first point of contact for all recruitment queries so must have the ability to relate to a wide range of people.

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that possesses or is happy to work towards a Level 3 CIPD Qualification (or equivalent), with proven participation and interest in continued professional development. There is potential for study support to be provided.

We support and encourage flexible and agile working, however the demands are such that this is a full time role and you will need to frequently attend the office.  This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result, you may occasionally be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK.

Because what we do is of the highest security, to work here, you will need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years for SC clearance (and ten years for DV).  In order to carry out this role, you will need to acquire and maintain security clearance level SC.

If you are applying for a secondment opportunity, your Line Manager, Department Head and Local or Force HR Department must support your application.

If you are a permanent Thames Valley Police (TVP) member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments are assumed supported and that your line manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy are aware of your intention to apply. If the secondment is not supported then a strong business rationale must be sent to recruitmentpolicestaff@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk quoting the reference number for the role.

Shift allowance, on-call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.

At CTPSE and SEROCU, we are committed to reflecting the communities we serve.  We encourage applications from our under represented communities including all ethnic or religious backgrounds, LGBTQ+, women and those with disabilities.

In return for working with us, our people say that benefits include a good work/life balance, a supportive and welcoming place to work and excellent terms including a generous pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.

If you have any questions about the role, please contact RecruitmentSE@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk quoting Job Reference 17938.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy if we receive a high volume of applications. Should you wish to apply for this post, we advise you to complete and submit your application form as soon as possible.
