Our South East Regional Organised Crime Unit, Dedicated Source Unit (DSU) manage Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS). The team operates across the South East region and forms part of the national DSU network, working with partner agencies to provide intelligence in relation to SOC.

The purpose of this role is to identify, recruit and develop covert sources, in line with the Regional Control strategy - targeting identified threats, vulnerabilities and intelligence gaps in the South East Region.

The successful candidate will identify, recruit and handle covert human intelligence sources

We welcome applications from Police/Detective Constables who are qualified Source Handlers. We are seeking a candidate with good communication skills and knowledge of and processes involved in the management and recruitment of CHIS. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will have sound knowledge of the investigation of serious crime, CPIA and disclosure issues involving sensitive intelligence.
