This role is a Fixed Term Contract/Secondment for 12 months.

In this role, you will work as part of a small team delivering a range of business change projects across Thames Valley and Hampshire Constabulary.  The Project Support Officer responsibilities include providing a wide range of day to day support to projects and programmes, and developing and maintaining documentation to ensure that progress is made against project objectives.

This role will specifically support the new Working Smart programme for TVP. The force’s response to Covid-19 has been a catalyst for a changed mind-set and the roll-out of devices that enable a more agile and adaptive approach. The Working Smart programme has been set up to ensure that this progress is maintained, embedded and developed to achieve the transformation of culture and estate that are necessary to achieve permanent change.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, relevant project/management experience, and proven ability to make decisions and establish priorities under conflicting demands.  Excellent communication, problem solving and organisational skills are required to work to meet deadlines. Recent experience of engaging with multiple internal / external customers and suppliers is essential, along with the ability to inform decisions and assess risk.  The candidate will need to be able to understand, analyse and generate statistical and financial information in relation to projects and programmes.  In the course of their work, candidates may be required to travel within the Thames Valley and Hampshire areas, and on occasion across the South East region.
