Strategic Analyst - OPCC
A rare opportunity has arisen within the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office for a Strategic Analyst, which will support all aspects of the analytical and research work for the office. The role will provide strategic analytical products to inform senior decision makers and stakeholders in support of the Police & Crime Plan and partnership Community Safety Priorities, including analysis of internal and external strategic factors, environmental scanning, demand, and capability & capacity assessments; through analysis, identify areas of organisational threat, harm and risk to inform the PCC’s requirements.
The role will add value by increasing the OPCC’s understanding of the existing services, gaps and needs across the crime and disorder spectrum, within the Thames Valley so that we can work to identify priorities for action across the force area, with our partners.
This will be a challenging and rewarding role in a high-performing team with an excellent reputation among partners. The successful applicant will develop networks with people at all levels of decision-making and will have the opportunity to influence our evidence-based decision.
The successful applicant will be educated to a good standard with recent experience in complex partnership analytical work. Strong interpersonal communication skills are required whilst being able to build effective relationships and negotiation with multiple stakeholders.

Capability to travel to different locations across the Force is required. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
