We welcome applications for the role of Trainer within Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE), a specialist regional policing unit which works with the UK Intelligence community to help protect the public and our national security from the threat of terrorism.  The CTPSE training team falls under the Protect & Prepare work stream of the CONTEST strategy.

The Regional Trainer role is to plan, prepare and deliver CT training in line with the College of Policing Standards as well as facilitating opportunities for learning and personal development in accordance with CTPSE and national training standards and policies.

The successful candidate will have previously worked in a training environment and have experience of coaching or teaching groups. They will be able to work on their own initiative and have recent experience of undertaking problem solving. They will be expected to converse at a senior level and ensure that relevant processes and protocols are followed.

It is desirable for the successful candidate to possess a recognised training qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education & Training, however this is not essential.  A good understanding of best practice in the Counter Terrorism training field would also be ideal, but is also not essential.

It is essential that you have the flexibility to travel across the UK as the need arises, and therefore a UK driving licence is essential.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC.  In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.

You can find more information about security vetting here.
