The Role

The overall purpose of the role is to implement and deliver, with overall responsibility and ownership, the ITIL Change & Configuration Management processes across the Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police. Focusing upon the delivery of Change and Configuration design and governance, and managing the Change and Configuration processes to ensure maximum availability and performance of production systems and services.

The Essentials

  • Professionally qualified in ITILv3/v4 Change and Configuration Management.

 

  • Proven experience working within and managing a Change & Configuration Management function at Enterprise scale (55,000 ci’s).

 

  • Experienced in leading and hosting the Change Advisory Board and change framework.

 

  • Experienced in defining, developing, and governance of a Configuration Management function

 

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, including presentation skills.

 

  • Ability to engage with all levels of organisation and produce desired results.

 

  • Demonstrable skill and knowledge for designing and implementing ITILv3/v4 and ISO 20000/1 aligned processes.

 

  • Must have capability to travel to different locations across both Forces and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.

 

This role will be carried out remotely, with the occasional requirement for travel to Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police offices.

TVP as an employer, contribute 13.5% of pensionable pay into a member’s pension pot. You will be entitled to up 30 days of annual leave per annum (pro rata for part time), plus Bank Holidays.
