Counter Terrorism Border Police officers are at the front line of protecting national security from the threats posed by Terrorism and serious and organised crime at the UK border.

Border Police officers are tasked to manage the known and unknown threats posed by individuals and groups seeking to travel across borders in furtherance of Terrorism and serious organised crime. This role is intrinsic to the UK Counter Terrorism Strategy supporting partner agencies in mitigating the threat to UK interests at home and abroad.

You will supervise a team of Border Police officers in Hampshire and work closely with UK Border Force, Port/Airport/Docks staff and security partners. You will gather and supervise the submission of quality intelligence in relation to terrorism, extremism and serious and organised crime.

You will be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal/communication skills. You will also have good investigative and interviewing skills.

CTP SE and SEROCU are committed to becoming the most diverse team in the South East. We encourage interest and applications from candidates of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from female and BAME (black, Asian and minority ethic) candidates to enable us to truly reflect the communities we serve.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.
