Administrative Support Officer (ASO) -12 Month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic Administrative Officer to join our Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU), to provide a comprehensive, flexible administrative support service and confidential secretarial services.
You will be IT literate and have proven significant professional administrative experience, with excellent attention to detail. You will have experience of undertaking a wide range of duties to include managing requisitions and utilising systems to raise orders, ensuring customer requirements are achieved within financial constraints. Be proactive in the development of processes to meet the business need with excellent organisational skills.
You will be a confident communicator, with an aptitude to deal with various levels of internal and external customers, with the ability to work to deadlines, manage a substantial workload and problem solve with minimum supervision.
You will manage Senior Leadership Team (SLT) diaries to ensure effective timetabling and co-ordination of activities. You will prepare files and other papers for meetings, review actions, obtain background papers and other appropriate information; attend meetings, taking accurate and often confidential minutes, then prepare and distribute them.
On occasions this role may be required to travel to various locations across the South East Region for business purposes. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational requirements. Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to enhanced level. In line with Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), candidates who fail to hold, acquire or maintain this vetting level cannot be offered the post.
