In this interesting and varied role you will provide a comprehensive and flexible administrative support and confidential secretarial service to the South & Vale Local Police Area (LPA), with specific assistance given to the LPA Commander. Diary management and effective timetabling of activities is required, together with preparing files for meetings and taking minutes.  You will be the first point of contact for complaints handling, ensuring a swift resolution is achieved. In addition you will have responsibility for the management of petty cash and receipt and recording of cash received at the station.

You will be a confident communicator at all levels with a good standard of education, including excellent literacy and numeric skills. Having attained RSA III or equivalent and working towards or attained NVQ Customer Service level 2 or equivalent, you will also have proven interpersonal skills and the ability to promote professional working relationships. The ability to work to deadlines whilst managing a substantial workload is essential. You will be IT literate in Microsoft applications with the ability to manipulate data from a variety of databases. Recent experience of managing staff, monitoring welfare and managing performance is essential along with the capability to travel to different locations across the Force.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
