An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual to join the Cyber Crime Unit, part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) hosted by Thames Valley Police on behalf of the region.

SEROCU Cyber Crime Unit leads the response across the region to the risk posed by Crime Crime and supports the fight against serious and organised crime in Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Thames Valley. It is committed to relentlessly disrupting these risks by using its 13 capabilities and by partnership working with the National Crime Agency, Forces and other partners.

SEROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the South East region to deliver the government’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy and to protect communities from harm

Applications are invited from substantive detective constables for the above post. You will provide an efficient and effective specialist service (financial investigation) to support the investigations, carried out by the SEROCU Cyber Crime Unit (Pursue).

Main duties include:-





            The successful applicant will have attained National Fraud Investigation Accreditation. You will have experience working as a Financial Investigation Officer and of presenting financial evidence at Court. You will have the ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

            You may be required to travel for business purposes on occasion and demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours, and you must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced level.

            Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice. The residency requirement is necessary to enable all applicants to be checked in an equitable manner.
