Local Crime Scene Investigator (LCSI) Slough
In this interesting role you will undertake the scientific investigation of serious acquisitive and volume crime scenes in order to ensure the delivery of an effective and professional service to the public and to provide expertise to assist investigating officers in the detection of crime. This will encompass the recording and recovery of DNA, fingerprint, digital, photographic and other forensic evidence. This will also involve the processing of evidence to provide forensic support to investigations in accordance with current policies and procedures. It is essential that you have recent and relevant experience of working in this type of role. There may on occasion be a requirement to attend, with supervision, more serious incidents and scenes of an unpleasant nature.
Shifts: 0800 – 2200 alternating shift cover including weekends and bank holidays.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the established psychological screening process.
Along with all other posts in Force Crime, Intelligence and Specialist Operations Departments, this role will require an enhanced level of vetting.
Selection will take the form of an assessment day. Successful candidates from the assessment day will be invited to interview.

Vetting. All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
