Our Research and Analysis Team produces high quality research and analytical products to support all areas of CTP SE business.  We are closely aligned to the Intelligence Management Function (IMF), the South East Regional Prison Intelligence Team (SERPIT) and CT Borders Policing (CTBP) however full research and analytical support is given to all 4 of the strands of Contest across CTP SE.

This Intelligence Development Officer role will be aligned to the CT Borders Policing Team (CTBP). CTBP work in partnership with other border law enforcement and intelligence agencies to support the fight against terrorism by gathering intelligence and reporting on individuals and freight entering and leaving the country to identify potential threats to national security.

The successful candidate will provide high quality research and development packages and will be responsible for collating and assessing information and intelligence from a wide range of sources on identified individuals, organisations and thematics. This is an exciting role which will involve assisting in the preparation and presentation of a variety of intelligence or evidential packages.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills including the ability to negotiate and deliver presentations. The successful candidate will be a good team player with relevant experience in an intelligence environment.

Due to the nature of the role, the role holder will require a full UK driving license and be able to travel across the South East Region. The CTBP IDO role operates across a shift pattern between 07:00-23:00. Working hours and arrangements can be discussed at interview. 

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and resided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance (SC) and ten years for Developed Vetting (DV)  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
