Our Digital Forensic Unit supports all the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) capabilities with the routine recovery of digital evidence from a range of devices. We offer a highly specialised forensic service to the South East Region and Forces.

This is an exciting role where you will provide full administrative support within the SEROCU Cyber / Forensic capabilities.

The successful candidate will handle and record forensic exhibits, re-distributing these where necessary to internal and external departments. This role involves undertaking quality assurance checks of submissions or exhibits and ensuring requests are proportionate and within the SEROCU submissions policies.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate with good team working and excellent communication/interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the role, good working knowledge around social media and up-to-date knowledge of online communication is advantageous to the role. The successful candidate will have a good standard of education to GCSE or equivalent with proven skills in numeracy and literacy.

Please note that although this role is currently based at Whitchurch, we will be eventually vacating our premises to a site Near M4 Junction 12 at the end of 2021 or beginning of 2022. 

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence and will be able to drive Force cars.
