We are seeking interest for the role of Marketing & Communications Officer, a new position within our regional team working across five forces to protect our local communities from the threat of terrorism and organised crime. 

In this role you will work with colleagues across CTPSE and SEROCU to ensure effective communications between the units, our regional and national stakeholders and partners, and external audiences.  Your role will be to promote recruitment and retention, presenting our units as an employer of choice.

You will do this by creating, implementing and evaluating recruitment marketing campaigns and communication plans.  This means that you will be responsible for communications concerning recruitment campaigns and retention initiatives, delivered through a range of channels including digital and social media, in house publications, and external publications.

The successful candidate should have a recognised qualification in digital / social media, communications, or journalism, or alternatively equivalent relevant experience.  You will have recent and proven experience in the creative use of digital and social media, and good knowledge of web communications, social network and the use of content management software.  To be successful you should also have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to liaise, negotiate and influence a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may occasionally be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK.

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years.  Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service with HM Government, and studying abroad.  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
