Applications are invited for a PIP2 Investigator post at Milton Keynes.  

Working as an integral part of a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff successful applicants will manage and progress the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents/enquiries, maintaining the confidence of victims and witnesses in order to deliver successful outcomes.  Your duties will include following up lines of enquiry and completing investigative actions, interviewing suspects in custody, taking statements from victims and witnesses and securing evidence and preparing case papers.  You will be required to attend court to give evidence.  You will be required to work a flexible shift pattern including evenings and weekends. 

It is essential that you have effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide audience along with proven analytical and decision making skills.  You will also be self- motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. 

There will be a mixture of earlies and lates and 1 weekend in 3.

Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly.  Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable.  For this reason a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.

Vetting.  All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
