Chiltern Transport Consortium (CTC) provides a cross-border shared service and all fleet support functions for 6 police forces over 6 shire counties covering Thames Valley, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, Hertfordshire and British Transport Police. It’s an innovative and successful initiative that continues to provide these forces with a performance-led fleet service. 

We are now looking for a Transport Customer Service Representative to provide fleet administrative support for Chiltern Transport Consortium, ensuring the most effective, efficient and economical solution is obtained, in accordance with the CTC Hire Policy and Procedures. Duties will include being the first point of contact for e-mails/telephone queries regarding vehicle hire and fuel cards, consulting with the workshops and forces for any repairs and planned maintenance arrangements, ensuring the fleet database is kept up to date, updating the booking system and producing monthly fuel usage reports. 

Good administrative and customer service skills are required with previous experience of answering queries, escalating them where necessary and handling/resolving complaints. You will be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office packages. The ability to work accurately with high attention to detail to set deadlines is essential whilst possessing excellent time management skills to prioritise your own workload. Strong communication skills are required with the ability to work well in a team environment, sharing responsibilities with colleagues.
