Reporting to the Principal Analyst for Counter Terrorism Policing South East, the Internet Intelligence and Investigations (III) Delivery Lead is a newly created role that will be leading a team of III specialists in a growing and constantly changing environment.

Requiring a sound knowledge of policing policy and regulations and with experience using local, regional and national IT platforms and software, the role holder will be using their broader network to look at best practice elsewhere and consider how CTPSE can adopt and apply locally. The role holder will also be a senior point of technical QA for direct reports, checking research and analysis for errors and creating court submissions for the CPS, using their knowledge of police evidential processes.

Able to manage their own workload, respond to urgent queries as necessary and plan for the months ahead, the role holder will also be fully managing a team of III specialists and will need to integrate their direct report needs with their own. A true manager, the III Delivery Lead will motivate, develop, and inspire their direct reports, will assign work and tasks, and will be able to offer technical QA on III research and analysis undertaken. Finally, the role holder will have strong communicating and influencing skills to enable them to lead difficult conversations with, or on behalf of, direct reports, to inform, advise and assist decision makers/Senior Police Officers to solve problems, assess and mitigate threat, risk and harm.

CTP SE are committed to becoming the most diverse team in the South East. We encourage interest and applications from candidates of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from female and BAME (black, Asian and minority ethic) candidates to enable us to truly reflect the communities we serve.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to Developed Vetting (DV) level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the South East. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving licence is essential to the role.
