An exciting opportunity has arisen for a TOEX Intelligence Development Officer to join our Targeting Organised Exploitation (TOEX) team, part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

The role supports the Intelligence Analysts and Officers by interrogating numerous intelligence systems to research people, telephone numbers and vehicles registrations.  

This role will work closely with Under Cover On Line (UCOL) operatives and maybe exposed to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) material. 

If you are new to law enforcement and the world of intelligence, we will ensure that you are given a solid grounding in UK policing, we will walk you through the many systems and tools, which we employ to track the activities of organised crime groups.  

You will be introduced to the main areas of vulnerability which are the focus of the TOEX programme: Modern Slavery, County Lines, Human Trafficking, Organised Immigration Crime, Child Sexual Abuse and Child Sexual Exploitation. 

A good standard of education is required with a minimum of two GCSEs grades  

A – C / 9 - 4 or equivalent including Numeracy and Literacy.  

Experience of undertaking research and analysis is required with an ability to understand and apply analytical products (e.g. National Intelligence Model) for use in research findings.  

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence and be independently mobile, with the ability to travel throughout the UK when required. As this role supports live operations and investigations there maybe times where the flexibility to work overtime is required to manage operational risk.    

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to have resided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance.  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
