Thames Valley Police (TVP) Criminal Justice Department is recruiting a Disclosure Tactical Advisor – this is a prominent role in a highly specialised area of policing.  Reporting into the Criminal Justice DI responsible for disclosure, you will provide tactical advice and direction to investigation teams and officers in relation to CPIA disclosure. Whilst maintaining and improving the capability of the disclosure champions network within the area of geographical responsibility, you will coach and develop operational staff to improve their knowledge of CPIA disclosure.

You will have proven experience in an investigative role with an ability to understand the complexities and sensitivities of investigation. Whilst knowledge of Criminal Evidence and Procedure Act 1996 is desirable, it is not essential as you will receive training in this area. You will be required to communicate with individuals from a range of ranks and with varying experience – excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.

You will be required to travel across your geographical area of responsibility (county based role) at short notice. A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement of the role.
