Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE) Border Policing are at the front line of protecting national security from the threats posed by Terrorism and Hostile Acts by Foreign States at the borders and ports of Surrey and Sussex. 

The role of Ports Liaison Officer is to liaise and maintain good relationships with agencies that work at the Border, including both law enforcement and commercial, to enable a flow of information sharing both strategic and tactical.

The successful candidate will visit general aviation sites and general maritime locations to gain good knowledge and relationships to allow the free flow of intelligence and information. This an exciting role where you will  create briefing products to CTPSE Border Policing officers and other partner agencies and to manage information received by Border Policing. Additionally, the post holder will support the training requirements of officers and staff

The role holder will also arrange presentations by partner agencies and CPD events to enable officers and staff to have up to date and relevant information.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education or equivalent experience.  We are seeking to appoint a candidate with excellent communication and team working skills.  

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence.

This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals.  This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.
