Technology Services is a function within the Joint ICT Department of Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police. We are responsible for keeping the blue lights on and delivering innovative solutions to ensure Police Officers and staff can access key services that allow us to stay online, connected and ahead of the game. We are looking for dynamic technologists to help lead the technical delivery and support of our next generation infrastructure environment.

 

As a Team Leader within the Workplace Productivity-as-a-Service (WPaaS) team, you will be responsible for managing a team of resources across multiple sites acting as the escalation point and source of technical knowledge and leadership for a variety of platform and modern workplace services such as the Microsoft 365 suite of products.

 

You will be managing the team, prioritizing and managing workloads ensuring escalated incidents and work requests from our customers are resolved promptly to meet our service level agreements. Your primary role is to ensure regular maintenance activities are scheduled and completed on time to improve the overall user experience.

 

Essential Skills:

 

  • Proven experience providing technical leadership and innovation across all aspects of technology, including responsibility for implementing, supporting and optimising services such as Windows 10, Office 365, Citrix Virtual Apps, SaaS/PaaS, COTS and Application Packaging and Software Distribution.

 

  • Strong team leadership experience with the ability to support and mentor team members with their professional development enabling them to conduct their work to the required standard.

 

  • Experience in supporting the service transition of large programmes and projects to business as usual, ensuring requirements such as skills, process documentation and resourcing is captured and delivered by projects before being commissioned into service.

 

  • Proficient with Infrastructure Management and automation tools such as SCCM, Azure Security Center and ServiceNow.
