Location: Kidlington (but flexibility to travel across Thames Valley Police area and South East England as required)

In this important role you will work as part of a small, dynamic team at the heart of the organisation. You will be helping the officers and staff of Thames Valley Police transform the way we deliver our service to the public, keep people safe and bring offenders to justice.

You will plan and deliver projects into all aspects of both operational police work and support functions, using project management and change management techniques to analyse problems, design solutions and implement change.

The post holder will be responsible for the production of project management documents throughout the lifecycle of the project, as well as plan and monitor the project to ensure the project is kept on track, within scope, within budget and delivering benefits for officers and staff. You will lead project teams and manage stakeholders at all levels including Project Boards, Programme Boards, and the Chief Constable’s Management Team.

The successful applicant will have a good standard of education, and an understanding of business administration, ideally having the professional project management qualification PRINCE 2 (or equivalent) or be working towards it.

You will have proven experience in planning, managing and delivering business change projects using multidisciplinary project teams, with experience in people leadership and change management skills, to inspire, develop and embed change. You will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to make decisions and establish priorities under conflicting demands.

You may be required to travel for business purposes on occasion and demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours.
