We are looking for a Senior Intelligence Analyst to join our management team in overseeing the delivery of CTP Borders Maritime & Commodities. The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of research and analysis within four national units focused on the identification and response to vulnerability and threat at the UK border through intelligence products. 

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for a wide-ranging portfolio, delivering tactical and operational research, and leading teams responsible for targeting priority threats, utilising collaborative intelligence development and analysis to drive this activity.  

This is a key post within the CTP Borders South / Maritime and Commodities portfolio – but is also professionally aligned to the wider CTP Borders A&R capability. Our departments are an integral part of wider networks, linking with external partners, regional CTP Borders units and also professional alignment to CTPHQ Research and Analysis. Our units have been positioned to ensure collaboration at the border is a key enabler to our business delivery. 

The role of the Senior Analyst will include ensuring access and best use of available training, data and technology and skills through internal and external agency collaboration for the purpose of research and analysis. The post holder will have line management responsibilities for the A&R staff within our units and will work alongside other intelligence professionals in the delivery of a comprehensive intelligence framework. 

This post requires regular travel across the South East, Kent and East Midlands regions with an additional requirement to travel beyond these regions to engage with key partners and stakeholders where necessary. Independent travel is essential either as a UK driving licence holder or through accessible public transport. 

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the post. Consequently, you will be required to successfully pass and maintain Developed Vetting security clearance in order to perform this role. Therefore, you will need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic services (with HM Government) and studying abroad.
