You will coach, develop and assess staff in line with national standards. Supporting the work based assessment of initial learning for student Officers, PCSOs and Special Constables through to Independent Patrol and Confirmation in Post. You will support the implementation of Accreditation programmes and assess the performance of students against the appropriate national standards in line with awarding body requirements. Design and maintain resources and processes for allocated accreditation programmes or initiatives, ensuring relevant stakeholders are consulted and kept up to date with any changes.

You will have current occupational competence of at least one year within the last 2 years carrying out the role of Police Officer to assess Policing Standards for student Officers, Special Constables and PCSOs. Proven or relevant experience as a coach and addressing under-performance of staff member(s) is essential as well as strong problem solving, decision making and time management skills. Interpersonal skills and experience of maintaining records to meet requirements of regulatory bodies is also required.

Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential
