In this role you will provide training to DCs, PCs, Specialist Investigators and those looking to become PIP2 qualified by researching, identifying, designing and delivering training programmes in line with Force aims, styles and objectives. You will work as a member of a team responsible for the provision of the differing learning styles within the classroom and/or workplace environments and research, prepare and plan course material including detailed lesson plans and resources appropriate to the stated objectives of specific courses. You will also be responsible for ensuring knowledge of crime investigation techniques are maintained and kept updated.

You will have proven ability to facilitate learning in an allocated delivery area with the ability to present information and ideas effectively and persuasively. You will also be PIP2 accredited (or equivalent experience) and attained QCF Level 3 certificates in L & D (training will be provided if necessary to achieve this). An extensive knowledge of investigating crime including legislation, Force Policies and Procedures is essential as well as a proven ability to communicate ideas and information effectively.

Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
