Part Time - 18 Hours Per Week

In this interesting role you will assist police officers in the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents, and prepare case papers, ensuring file completeness and delivery in accordance with court deadlines, legislation and force policy. 

Duties will include taking statements of evidence from victims of crime and witnesses along with interviewing suspects in custody. You will also manage case investigations and complete accurate prosecution files and attend court to give evidence as required. 

Proven experience of working within an investigatory type role, using working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures is essential together with proven customer service skills, engaging with people at all levels, sometimes in confrontational situations. You will need meticulous attention to detail and the ability to gather and record information in a logical format. You will be required to travel to different locations in a timely manner and for this reason a full driving licence is considered essential.
