We are looking for a dynamic Finance Assistant to join our Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU), to work as part of a team.  In this role you will provide financial administrative support in the provision of accurate, timely and appropriate accounting records and management information.  Duties will include inputting data, extracting, manipulating/analysing data and collating financial information, undertaking the initial investigation into financial variances and raising issues and concerns.  You will undertake and/or assist with specific tasks adhering to given timetables and will provide advice to other members of the SEROCU, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) would be beneficial and must be computer literate especially in Microsoft Office applications together with excellent communication skills.  The ability to produce accurate and reliable data is required together with being able to work as part of a team and also independently. 

You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational requirements.

Please note that initially this role is a combination of home working with training undertaken in Kidlington, we will be relocating to a site Near M4 Junction 12 in 2023.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.   

Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and resided in the UK for the past five years for Security Clearance (SC) and ten years for Developed Vetting (DV).  You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
