Applications are invited for this exciting role. The Economic Crime Unit is appointing an additional Fraud & Cyber Prevention Officer (FPO) to co-ordinate Thames Valley Police’s (TVP) cyber prevention activities.  

The post holder will provide a professional point of contact for TVP and partner agencies working in this arena. Regular liaison with fraud and cyber prevention partners will enable you to assess future risks from fraud and cyber offences and implement a strategy to prevent or limit their impact on TVP’s residential and businesses communities. 

You will present to a variety of groups both internally and externally to ensure that clear and accurate prevention advice is disseminated to the widest possible audience. This will include producing a variety of prevention products and engaging with external media opportunities. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who is seeking, a new and varied challenge in a team where integrity, attention to detail, self-motivation and personal drive are of the utmost importance. 

Applicants should preferably have experience in dealing with partner agencies, writing presentations and public speaking. Applicants will hold a professionally recognized qualification in fraud and cyber prevention, or be willing to be trained to such a standard. You should also have a good understanding of current fraud and cyber trends and an innovative approach to prevention opportunities. The ability to demonstrate flexibility in the role and a willingness to work anywhere in the Thames Valley when the need arises, is also essential.
