An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prison Intelligence Team Hub Coordinator to join our integrated Regional Prisons Intelligence team, servicing Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTP SE) and the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

As part of a small team you will coordinate and manage a number of processes, including prisoner releases and tasking, in line with regional and national requirements.

You will act as an integral part of the Regional Prison Intelligence Hub and therefore be a point of contact for all those communicating with the Regional Prison Intelligence Unit to ensure the smooth exchange and sharing of intelligence as appropriate and within the constraints of the Government Security Classification (GSC).

The successful applicant will have knowledge and understanding of GSC and restrictions around dissemination of intelligence, and experience of applying these classifications. You will have experience of recognising priorities, risks and threat in relation to national security and organised crime. You must be a good team player, but also able to work on own initiative. Excellent communication skills and time management, organisational and planning skills are also essential to the role.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. You must be prepared to be security cleared to an enhanced level.

For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or acquire the appropriate security clearances (which may include STRAP) and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. As such, in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.

For further information please email RecruitmentSE@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk or telephone 01865 555839 quoting 15247.

The closing date is 23:55hrs on Sunday 30 December 2018.

CTP SE and SEROCU are committed to becoming the most diverse team in the South East. We encourage interest and applications from candidates of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from female and BAME (black, Asian and minority ethic) candidates to enable us to truly reflect the communities we serve.

This opportunity is closed to applications.
